I have booked my Japan Rail Pass but I have to push back my trip. Will I still be able to use my Japan Rail Pass?

If you have to push back your trip less than 3 months.

When buying a Japan Rail Pass, you will receive a voucher to be exchanged for the actual Pass once in Japan. This exchange needs to take place within 3 months (90 days) of the purchase date.
If, despite the trip modification, you manage to exchange your Japan Rail Pass within the 3 months, then you don't have to worry about the validity of your Japan Rail Pass.

If you have to push back your trip more than 3 months.

However, if you need to push back your trip more than 3 months (90 days) then your voucher validity period will expire and you will not be able to exchange it for a Japan Rail Pass.
If you need to push back your trip 90 to 365 days, we can renew your Japan Rail Pass at not extra cost (except shipping), on condition that the new pass(es) are of the same number, for the same duration and of the same category.
