Edo Gardens

Travel back to the Edo period (1603-1868) and discover ancient Tokyo by visiting two to three of the capital's beautiful gardens in one morning. Beautiful all year round, these serene havens make you forget the hectic city around you.

The Allure of Japanese Gardens

These gardens, created by expert landscapers during the period of alternate attendance, were intended for the nobility who resided part-time in the capital. They are designed not only for admiration but also for recreational activities like tea ceremonies and even hunting.

Exploring Nature with a Guided Tour

Your guide will lead you through an enchanting landscape of bridges, ponds, lanterns, and tea houses, especially captivating in the early morning light.

Ideal for families, this tour offers an immersive experience into these gardens while also serving as an introduction to Tokyo’s Edo-period landmarks and various museums. The journey through these serene settings is a perfect blend of education and relaxation.

Depending on the season, the guide will select an average of 3 gardens from among Tokyo's finest, such as Hama-rikyu, Koishikawa Kôraku-en, Kyu Shiba-rikyu, Kiyosumi, or Rikugi-en.

Gather at the entrance of Hamarikyu Gardens (Otemon Bridge Gate) at 9:00 am.
