There is unfortunately not much you can do in this situation.If the JR employee has checked your status and found that you were not eligible for the
Japan Rail Pass, there are no other alternatives.
The
eligibility requirements are detailed on our website (when shopping, as well as our
common questions), and we can not take responsibility for a lack of compliance with these conditions. We invite you to travel by purchasing individual tickets at the regular price.
You can ask for a
refund of your JR Pass by returning it
within a year of the issue date to the following address:

We recommend that you send your
JRP exchange voucher via recorded delivery with a short explanatory note and your order number. Once we have received your voucher, we will issue a refund to the credit card used to make the original purchase, and an email will be sent to you confirming the refund. Please note that a
15% cancellation fee will be applied.
