There is unfortunately not much you can do in this situation.If the JR employee has checked your status and found that you were not eligible for the Japan Rail Pass
, there are no other alternatives.

You can ask for a refund
of your JR Pass by returning it within a year
of the issue date to the following address:

We recommend that you send your JRP
exchange voucher via recorded delivery with a short explanatory note and your order number. Once we have received your voucher, we will issue a refund to the credit card used to make the original purchase, and an email will be sent to you confirming the refund. Please note that a 15% cancellation fee
will be applied.
