The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) operates a traveler hotline all year round 24 hours a day. They can help with tourist information or assistance, including coronavirus (COVID-19). HOw MANY CORONAVIRUS CASES ARE THERE IN JAPAN?
As of March 25th, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) situation report confirmed that 1193 people have tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID 19) on Japanese territory (excluding patients traveling on the cruise ship Princess Diamond ). With Japan's 126.8 million inhabitants, the number of people infected with the Coronavirus is very low. Therefore, the risk of transmission is low.
