Un viaje fácil de un día
Descubre cómo ir de Kioto a Nara y admirar sus famosos templos. Si no tienes prisa, súbete en un tren local y haz una parada en el camino para visitar el templo Tofuku-ji, el santuario Fushimi Inari o Uji.
Viaje de Kioto al Parque de Nara, el Nara Koen
Con un tren cada 45 minutos desde la estación de Kioto, Nara es una ciudad que se puede visitar fácilmente en un viaje de un día desde Kioto. Los trenes Express (desde las vías n°8, 9 ó 10) salen aproximadamente tres veces al día. También hay trenes locales que tardan poco más de una hora en realizar el mismo recorrido.
El primer tren express sale a las 9:09 de la mañana, pero si no tienes prisa puedes subirte a un tren local y detenerte en el camino en alguno de los sitios que mencionamos en este artículo.

1KM - 0h03 - TOFUKU-JI
One of the Kyoto’s largest Zen monastories, home to a famous five-storey pagoda and to a beautiful garden is a few minutes away from the station, head south-east.
3 KM - 0H05 - INARI
The orange-lacquered torii (shrine gate) right outside the station marks the entrance of the Fushimi Inari Shrine, where thousands of other torii aligned to form a tunnel await the visitors. This place was featured in the film Memoirs of a Geisha. Visits are free and the temple is open from dawn to dusk everyday. Walk through the torii ascending Mt. Inari to reach the temple ‘observation point and have an impressive view of Kyoto’ s skyline. We need to add that there are numerous statues of the Kitsune or White fox, guardian of the Shrine and its god, Inari-okami. They are very cute and mark the entrance.
15 km - 0h17 - UJI
This well known tea-producing area (since the 13 th century) is mentioned in one of Japan’s most famous novels, the Tale of Genji. Head for the river Uji-Gawa by turning left as you leave the station and then go straight to reach Uji Bridge, first build by a Budhist priest in 646 and mentioned in the Tale of Genji. From the bridge you can reach the nearby Byodo-in Temple, with its phoenix-shapped hall and its large Buddha Statue.

¿Qué ver?
Nara Koen tiene todos los sitios más populares de la ciudad. El parque es tan grande que acoge a miles de alumnos y turistas japoneses, y aún así es espacioso y tranquilo. Recuerda que es el hogar de los mensajeros divinos de los dioses: los ciervos se pasean el libertad y se pueden ver en casi todo el parque. El Todai-ji es un complejo de templos que fue concebido por el emperador Shomu en el siglo VIII como sede de la autoridad del Japón budista.

Un restaurante que se centra en las verduras frescas servidas en bandejas con varios platos pequeños. Desde la estación de Nara, sal por el este, y sigue hacia el sur por la carretera principal. Pasa frente a la oficina de correos y gira a la izquierda. Hiyori estará a la derecha, a 5 minutos a pie del primer semáforo.

Un restaurante popular que sirve varios tipos de almuerzos pero que se especializa en anguilas. Desde la estación de Nara, sal por el este, y sigue hacia el sur por la carretera principal. Pasa frente a la oficina de correos y gira a la izquierda. Edogawa estará a la izquierda, a 5 minutos a pie del primer semáforo.
¿Cómo llegar?
Para llegar a los templos puedes subirte al autobús Nara Kotsu Loop, en frente de la estación (salida este). Existen 3 tipos de billetes: pase de 1 día, pase de 1 día wide y pase de 2 días. Si quieres ir al Palacio Heijo, el autobús estará en el lado oeste de la estación.

A popular restaurant serving many kinds of lunches but specializing in eel. From Nara Station, take the east exit, then walk south down the main road past the post office and take left. Edogawa is on the left, a 5 minutes walk the first traffic light.
How to get around ?
To reach the temples you can take a bus in front of the station ( East Exit). It is the Nara Kotsu Loop bus. There are 3 types of passes : 1 day pass, 1 day pass wide and a 2 day passes.To reach the Heijo Palace Site, the bus departure is on the West Side of the Station.
