Osaka-Tokyo Arch Pass

The JR East and JR West companies have introduced the JR Osaka-Tokyo Hokuriku Arch Pass, which gives unlimited access to JR trains between Tokyo and Osaka, such as the Hokuriku Shinkansen which connect Tokyo and Kanazawa, to JR trains connecting Tokyo to Narita and Haneda Airports, and to JR trains from Osaka to Kansai International Airport, as well as certain non-JR lines in the Hokuriku Region during 7 consecutive days.

Travellers will also be able to travel between the two Japanese megacities of Tokyo and Osaka while making stops in the Japanese Alps, in cities such as Karuizawa, Nagano, Toyama, and Kanazawa, nicknamed "Little Kyoto" and well-known throughout the country for its artisans' ateliers and its magnificent garden, Kenrokuen. From this coastal city, you can connect to Kyoto by passing by Fukui and Lake Biwa, before visiting the ancient capital of Nara and bubbling Osaka.

A child price (6 to 11 years of age) is available for this pass.Access to trains is free for accompanied infants aged 5 years or under. Japanese passport holders can NOT use this pass.

The Hokuriku Region

It was for the most part very practical.\n\nOne issue: The site said that it would be useful for "some transportation within the city", but it was not clear which ones. I think it was mainly the Yamanote line, and it would be helpful to be more clear about that.

Took multiple 2 hr. train rides, plus used for Kochi City street cars, so a good value. Also very convenient, as we did not really speak or read any ***. No worries about buying correct ticket or paying correct fare. Info how to identify reserved cars would have saved us embarrassment, though.

We had zero problems with jr pass. And this was our second trip to Japan. Only thingn i could imagine to Be better If there would Be More possibilities with length choises 14 Days 18, and 21 and like 25 example
