Which Japan Rail Pass to travel with kids in Japan?

Traveling with children in Japan is quite easy. Here are our tips for taking the train and purchase the right Japan Rail Pass.

In Japanese stations

Stations in Japan can be vast and especially in Tokyo. But do not worry !  If you have a stroller or if your children are tired of getting off and climbing the stairs, you will find lifts and escalators.

If it is possible, it is better to avoid the crowded hours ( (7 am to 9 am is the most intense time).

In the stations, you will find many shops in which you can make last minute purchases and bento (Boxed lunches). They also offer small souvenirs related to the japanese train.

In Japanese trains

Please note that in some trains there are not many places for luggage. Do not hesitate to send your luggage with TaQBin transport.

In Tokyo, effort has been done for the new Yamanote train : cars has more space to put strollers or large luggage.

To learn more about the history of the Japanese trains, explore the Kyoto Train Museum or the Omiya Train Museum, a good plan with kids.
