The JR Central and JR West companies offer the Ise-Kumano Area Pass, which gives unlimited access to JR trains between Nagoya, Ise, Toba, Shingu and Kii-katsura; as well as buses in the Ise,Toba and Kumano Kodo area, for five consecutive days.
So you can enjoy the Ise area, famous for its shrine dedicated to the goddess Amaterasu, and the Kumano area, listed by the Unesco for its three shrines and pilgrimage trails.
A child price (6 to 11 years of age) is available for this pass. Access to trains is free for accompanied infants aged 5 years or under.
Japanese passport holders can NOT use this pass.

Good value if used correctly.
I love the value of the Japan Rail Pass and have already recommended it to friends who will be visiting Japan soon. However, I was curious why it's a physical piece of paper to be validated by station agents, rather a contactless smart card (like ***) that can just be tapped on the way in and out.
4th time I used the Rail Pass and had the same great experience!
